Children’s Place hosts Stand Up for Children donors
On Wednesday evening, more than 40 of the earliest donors to construction of the new home for Children’s Place, Inc. gathered in the repurposed 1880s church currently serving as classroom space and dining hall for a thank you reception and update on the status of its modern, purpose-built replacement.
Floyd and Green gives $22,000 to local charities
Every November, Floyd and Green Jewelers holds the Night of Giving Back, during which shoppers donate 10% of their purchase to the charity or nonprofit organization of their choice. Co-owner Steve Floyd said this year was the biggest ever, bringing in approximately $22,000.

First Presbyterian Church of Aiken held a Jubilee Celebration to mark 50 years in its Barnwell Avenue sanctuary in downtown Aiken. In honor of the event, the congregation decided to help pay off debt for Children's Place, a local nonprofit that provides services to children and families suffering from trauma.
