Our goal is a safe space for all babies to sleep.

beds for babies

Children’s Place is a proud supporter of safe sleep education for families of infants. Through our Beds for Babies program, we work with various community partners to connect local families in need with safe sleep education and free Pack-N-Play cribs. Lack of income should never be the cause of babies sleeping in an unsafe place.

We believe in the ABC’s of safe sleep:

  • Babies should sleep ALONE - in the same room as the parents or caregiver, but NOT in the same bed.

  • Babies should sleep on their BACK - side or stomach-sleeping increases the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)

  • Babies should sleep in their CRIB - on a firm mattress that is covered with a tight fitted sheet and clutter-free (no blankets, stuffed animals, or bumper pads)

Beds for Babies was started thanks to a grant from the Women's Leadership Council of the United Way of Aiken County.
